How texting works

A shared line, not a SIM.

Pick a number from the pool. It stays selected in this browser. There is no login.

Texts arrive on their own. Verification codes pop up in a banner, and links inside texts stay clickable.

Numbers are shared, so never use them for banking or anything sensitive. A text stays on this desk for up to 24 hours, then it is gone.

Right now these are demo numbers: rehearse texts are fake, so pasting those codes into real sites will always say invalid. Real SMS needs the provider key.

If a real code says invalid: use the newest text (old codes die fast), copy digits with no spaces, and check you pasted into the same service that sent it.

Provider webhook: POST /api/sms/incoming with { from, to, body }
